5 Exercises You Can Do At Your Desk
Finding time during the day to keep active can be difficult, especially if you work a sedentary job. Here are 5 simple exercises you can do at your desk!
# 1 – Neck and shoulder stretch: Stand up and reach arms behind you, interlocking your fingers and lifting your arms at the same time.
# 2 – Shoulder blade squeeze: Pretend to hold a pencil between your shoulder blades, squeeze together for 10 seconds, release and repeat.
# 3 – Leg stretch: Remain seated and extend your legs. Reach down towards your toes. Return to starting position and repeat.
# 4 – Chair squats: Stand 15 cm in front of your chair and lower yourself down (as if you were going to sit) until your bum touches the seat. Raise yourself up and repeat.
# 5 – Wrist stretch: Stand up, place your hands on your desk with the wrists facing away from you. Apply pressure gently. Release and repeat.
