Your wedding is definitely your time and you’re allowed to have a wedding you desire. But there definitely are a few times you’ll have to consider your guests opinions and their comfort. Your wedding gift registry is definitely one of them. While the items should be the things you need and love, your guests must also feel good getting the things for you.
So, here are the 5 gifts you should avoid adding to your wedding gift registry!
#1. Intimate Products
While grooming products are acceptable, intimate products like panty liners, wax strips, Ben wa balls etc. are definitely a no no. Your guests will definitely be uncomfortable seeing things like these on your wedding gift registry. Instead add gift cards from your favourite personal grooming company or beauty hampers and so on.
#2. Tacky Honeymoon Gifts
While a honeymoon fund or other travel items can be added freely to your registry, avoid adding tacky honeymoon gifts. Avoid adding items like a negligee or swimming trunks and so on.
Take a step back and think for a second here. Just how weird would it be to buy someone clothes as their wedding gift! So, please don’t add a cocktail dress or worse a business “power” suit to your wedding gift registry, because trust me, no one wants to get you those!
#4. Something you’ll use at the wedding
While it’s a gifting etiquette for the guests to give you a gift which is equal to the amount they spent on you for dinner, it’s not okay to add that to your wedding gift registry. If you’re really in a bind and would like some extra to pay your wedding bills, just create a cash registry!’
#5 .Gifts that are a necessity but are not really gifts
Well, some things like a UPS, an air cooler or something of that sort may be a necessity, but never in a million years will anyone think of getting someone that as a gift. So, instead register for gifts that your guests will love getting and you can imagine someone getting them for you had they known you!
