Are you planning for your next holiday trip? If yes, then you are not alone because it is that time of the year when most travelers get their travelling shoes and jump on the plane to visit a next holiday destination. If you happen to be one of them then you should inform some key people and departments about your travel prior to flying abroad. Here are seven such people you must inform about your international tours.
With our hectic daily work routine, we rarely get time for travelling to a new country. If you want to travel then, you should take time off from work and inform your boss about it. If you are not telling your boss, you must inform the human resource department about your trip well in advance. In some industries, you will have to arrange a temporary replacement for your position so that the work does not get negatively affected in your absence from work.
2. Health Insurance Company
If you have health insurance, you must inform health insurance company about it as well. Ask whether they provide insurance coverage for international travel or not as most insurance companies don’t provide coverage to international travelers. Determine what you need from health insurance company and get your insurance policy adjusted. Call the number written on the back of your health insurance card. Obtain travel insurance for your trip if you are visiting a country that poses security risk.
3. Consulate/Embassy or State Department
