If you want to give away old clothing that you have, you may want to try to donate it to Goodwill or another second hand store, or even Salvation Army. You do not necessarily have to throw away your old clothes. Giving away old clothing to someone who needs it is a better cause than donating it to the trash can. You would be surprised to know that there are many Goodwill stores that exist in many cities, and there may even be one located down your very own street. So before you hand over your cheap clothes to the trashcan, think of a way you can either donate it or somehow use your sewing skills to bring it into style.
Goodwill collects all sorts of donated items. They have women’s clothing, men’s clothing, children’s clothing, household supplies, appliances, toys, and all kinds of odds and ends. It is mainly for those low income families who can not afford to go shop at a more expensive clothing store. You can find some really nice women’s clothing at Goodwill. I have every now and then found some nice name brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, among others at Goodwill.
