makes 4 servings
1 egg, well beaten
1 Tbsp milk
8 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
1 cup dry bread crumbs, Italian seasoned bread crumbs work well with this
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup water or white wine
mix the egg and milk together. dip the meat in this mixture and then in the crumbs. repeat to make sure the chops are well coated
heat the oil in a frying pan and brown the chops on both sides. season with salt, pepper and garlic.
add the water or white wine to the chops and cover the pan. reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. remove the cover and lift the chops to prevent them from sticking. cook an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until the chops are crisp…
you can serve this with either brown gravy or a delicious sausage gravy!! and smashed garlic potatoes are really great with these! oh so good!!
