One of the biggest predictors of success in today’s management courses is GMAT. The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) lasts for three and a half hours and costs $250 globally. You have to spend 100-120 hours lasting for two to three months preparing for the test.
The First Part of GMAT
You have to prepare for the test taking into the account the kind of questions they ask. The test consists of four parts. The Analytical Writing Assessment has one topic and you have 30 minutes to answer this. If you join a coaching centre they will give you the list of probable questions and the previous test papers. From this, you will develop a good insight into what you have to prepare. The coaching institute will give you study material covering many similar topics and you have to develop some material on your own. You see how important it is to choose the best GMAT training institutes in Bangalore.
Again in the Integrated Reasoning section, you have 30 minutes. You have to answer 12 questions for which you must give multiple responses. You have four types of questions here. One is to test for interpretation of graphical data and images. Next is the two-part analysis. Here they give the answer combinations in a box and you have to choose the right answer. The third part is the table analysis where you have to sort the table in a given way. Then, you have to match the answer given as statement with True or False. The fourth is the Multi-Source Reasoning. You must choose from the data given to answer the questions.
Use of the Calculator
You cannot take your own calculator to the examination. When you answer the Integrated Reasoning section, they will provide you with a calculator. But, you cannot use the calculator for the Quantitative section. When you answer the Quantitative section, they will give note boards and markers.
The Quantitative section and the Verbal section are for 62 minutes and 65 minutes respectively. The Quantitative section has 31 questions while the Verbal section has 36 questions. You have two optional 8-minute breaks. So, you can complete the examination in just under 3½ hours. You can take the GMAT test once every 16 days, 5 times in a year. The total number of attempts should not go over 8. The preparation centre gives you tips and suggests methods you can use for your study. Take part in their mock tests so you are able to assess yourself and prepare the areas where you are lacking.
Join a Reputed Institute
You will do well to choose an institute that has at least two years of experience in this field. Join early so you can begin your GMAT preparation classes in Bangalore fast.
