Deal of Day – zencart module
It was sold in Australia, China, New Zealand, Poland and United States.
It is sidebar version that can be easy installed by anyone has access to the filesystem and the admin area of the ZenCart website. It is fully integrated into the “Specials”.
Require only one php file from original zencart distribution to be altered (or replaced). It isabout the specials page from admin area
The main strong point of this module is that it consider : the server time, the administrator time and the internet user time in a smart way: does not matter on what time zone above mention are located the remaining deal time is the same for all of them.
If it is setup correct it consider even Day Light Saving (DLT)
The last patch recently built allow to display on the front page DOD, central big version and on rest o pages the sidebar version. Both have their separate configuration area (parameters) . Soon this patch will be included into the core of Deal of Day module. 
Free installation is provided by request. It is not a cheap module but to spend this king of money will bring you for real far more than your expense. It a worth to have module for any ZenCart based eCommerce system
To manage products (set up as DOD) is extremely easy. Here are two snapshots:

Features
- Deal Of Day (DOD) is displayed as side bar. Once files are copied into website and database is patched it appears in the website list of sidebars (admin area). By request and FREE OF CHARGE it can be setup as a “big box” on front page. This can be done by us because require change of code in the home page for example and slight changes into core of DOD. It does not work on sidebar and BOX on the same page.
- The module take one product from “specials” random from all specials or only specific products from specials marked as DOD and display it until end of deal (the end date and time is reached). Anytime he consider, the administrator can setup the end of the deal for a specific product. Then all is happen automatically.
