He had been explaining the bountiful menu at a nearby delicatessen – and it appeared that he was performing his work well, as I was beginning to crave an Italian sub with all the functions. In other words, before a large, yellow font set a sudden stop for my hunger pangs. The words on the display told me that this deli has been”renown for its support.”
Grammar Gone Wild
Renown for its support? What would that mean? (I understood what it meant – which another company had failed to hire a copywriter or possibly a proofreading expert to make sure their advertising message stayed without any errors!).
On a recent shopping trip, I spied a top mimicking Donald Trump’s notorious tagline, “You’re Fired.” But rather, it still read”Your Fired.” What Happens!
