When you perform your morning makeup routine, you obviously make every effort to look beautiful. But you hardly know about the harm caused by your cosmetic products to your skin. Most of the time, products you use on your skin do not have any major side effects, but your skin may react with the chemicals used by private label cosmetics manufacturers during production process.
Most of the allergic reactions are not severe or long lasting, but you must know about them to protect your skin from any damage.
There are people having delicate skin may experience allergic reactions to common cosmetic ingredients. These reactions can be classified into two types- irritant contact dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis.
In Irritant Contact Dermatitis, the product causes itching or burning sensation when you apply it on your skin.
In Allergic Contact Dermatitis, when you apply the product on your skin, it causes serious allergic reaction that results in itching, swelling, or even blisters.
Both of these types of reactions are mostly caused by things like preservatives or fragrances used by manufacturers in the cosmetics and other skin care products.
Some make up products are also responsible for acne. You will be fine if you regularly clean your face before going to bed. However, if you are suffering from acne, you must avoid using cosmetics as they can worsen your acne. Such types of acne are known as acne cosmetic. These are mild, common and caused by blocked pores and reddened bumps on the cheeks, chin, and forehead.
Acne cosmetic is caused when oils from your cosmetic product enters to the skin and clog your pores. So, if you are having oily skin, better avoid using heavy cream based products.
Try to use the cosmetics that contain less fragrance and less oil. Also look for products that are likely to cause minimum allergic reactions. There are several products made for sensitive and oily skin. These products won’t block skin pores and you can enjoy smooth acne free skin.
