How to connect to a proxy server?
How do I use a proxy server?
Please be aware that using proxy servers without the explicit permission of the proxy owner may be illegal in some states and / or countries. Use at your own risk. On the site Proxy-Seller you can find a proxy for a certain purpose and buy it.
Use your favorite search engine and search for “proxy list”. You will find many sites with lists of proxy servers, their IP address, the port they are listening on, and usually what country they are in. Write down a few of them.
Types of Proxies
You can see links to four different types of proxies:
Transparent Proxy Server
This type of proxy identifies itself as a proxy and also makes the original IP address accessible via http headers. They are commonly used for their ability to cache websites and do not effectively provide any anonymity to those who use them. However, using a transparent proxy will help you bypass simple IP bans. They are transparent in the sense that your IP address is public, not transparent in the sense that you don’t know you are using it (your system is not specifically configured to use it.)
Anonymous Proxy Server
This type of proxy identifies itself as a proxy, but does not make the original IP address available. This type of proxy is discoverable but provides reasonable anonymity for most users.
Distorting the Proxy Server
This type of proxy identifies itself as a proxy, but makes the wrong original IP address accessible via http headers.
High Anonymity Proxy Server
This type of proxy does not identify itself as a proxy and does not provide a source IP address.
Please be sure to read about the risks of anonymous proxy server before using a proxy server.
