How to Reset a Linksys WiFi Range Extender
A Linksys WiFi range extender is proved very useful way to boost your internet signals throughout your home, building, or office. But you must need to do some basic steps for Linksys Extender Setup prior to your device is prepared to use.
If your Linksys device stops working suddenly, then go through Linksys range extender reset process to set back your device back to factory default settings.
The Linksys Range Extender Reset Process
So, if you ever wanna reset your wireless range extender back to its factory settings, then there would be two ways generally to do so. Prior to reset the settings, you might wanna unplug the device and plug it back after few minutes will allow it to reboot without being configured again.

To set up a range extender with ease, you have to make sure that you have password, security settings, WiFi name, and broadcast channel for your main router handy with you. So, you can easily get this information from your router settings or from a WiFi-enabled device like a smartphone, computer or laptop you already use to connect to the existing (main) router.

Now, plug in your WiFi range extender and wait for few minutes for its LED to become stable. After that, plug an Ethernet or USB cable into your computer or laptop and into the main router to connect two devices physically and properly with each other.
Important Note: A few, but not all wireless repeaters (extenders) will allow you connect to an extender-specific WiFi network for the configuration and installation step in case you don’t have an Ethernet or a USB cable handy with you.
Next, open a web browser and into the URL field type extender.linksys.com.
Smart WiFi Setup Not Working? Type the default IP address of your device instead of the mentioned URL.
Now, you will be prompt to enter default login credentials (username and password). Next, enter your wireless network information on the displayed setup page. Once done, click on save.
Once your Linksys wireless range extender is set up successfully, you should be able to connect easily to it and your main WiFi router to access your internet and the network. Conversely, on many models, once you are connected to the range extender, you can navigate to Linksys WiFi Range Extender Setup page in your web browser to access the settings page in the future without any difficulty.
