Pertaining to his educational background, Jarrod accomplished his Bachelor of Arts in musical theatre from the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts. It is a division of Edith Cowen University in Perth, Western Australia. After graduation, he performed in many flourishing production of stage across the globe and he also performed in Cats as Munkustrap, Grease as Danny Zuko, Phantom of the Opera as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny while he was in London. Not only this, he also performed as Steve Baker in Show Boat in London’s Royal Prince Albert Hall.
He had a successful career while performing at stages and then followed stage management. He moved to New York and started working under Laura Green in on Broadway in general management. Here, he worked on a variety of prestigious and prolific productions which includes The Producers, Hairspray as well as The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankenstein.
He then returned to Australia, where he worked as an assistant producer on Andrea Bocelli in Concert, which toured all over Australia and New Zealand in 2008. Afterwards, from 2008 to 2010, he was appointed as the executive producer for Avenue Q Australia. This production was seen by over 55,000 people in cities including Auckland, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane.
Jarrod Carland also found the Studio Jack, which is a creative design studio based in St. Kilda. At his studio, he created mesmerising and exciting visual mediums for marketing campaigns, artistic projects and branding purposes.
