Microsoft recently announced its latest modification in Office 365 of introducing 15 Indian languages for users to escalate the number of Indian users. Office setup 365, Outlook 2016, Android and iOS and Outlook apps will now support 15 Indian Languages. The languages selected to support the Office apps are Hindi, Bodo, Dogri, Konkani, Maithili, Marathi, Nepali, Sindhi, Bengali, Gujarati, Manipuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. According to an online source, it is reported that English owned internet network could be a matter of concern for a huge number users.
Tough the report of Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Number (ICANN) says that there were nearly 3 billion internet users in 2014 across the globe. Growth in a number of internet users is expected to reach 5 billion by the end of 2020; moreover, the internet demographics are also expanding with time. With a huge number of internet users, America took third place in the year 2000, whereas now, Chinese users are making the largest group of internet users covering about 23% of the world’s internet user’s base. Since the growth is gradual determining all around the world, India too is hiking up with the number of users every year. In coming years, Indian will reach up to 9% of the internet users and so to accelerate the growth, the modification is made as a step of support.
Will these languages support Domain names?
At present, the selected Indian languages are not being provided with sufficient characterization online so it will take time to implement the change. Among 477 languages spoken in Indian, only 15 made to be on the list of digital languages.
However, not necessarily the companies will support the creation of outlook address available in these languages. Though the languages are being added to Office 365, there will be no domain name translated in any of the languages and will be written in English. Microsoft office 365, Outlook 2016 and others will probably not allow any of the domain names in any of the Indian languages but the only way by which you can create an email address in these languages is to get support from a third-party service.
So, after going through third-party service, you will be able to write email address from the chosen languages and not only to create emails and docs. Interestingly, the domain names and email address in other languages will not be supported by Microsoft but with be done the brands that are in partnership with them.
Since Microsoft office is striking to improve its features, there is a noted clash between Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook 2016.
The foremost purpose of add Indian languages is to break down the language barrier to those users while are trying to get into work out with new technology. Making sure that language does not become an obstruction for users who are in the phase of adapting technology since it Is the key for all digital developments. The tool and the change will make communication and collaboration easier and accessible. Expecting that this approach will rise up the internet users as well as Office setup user in upcoming years, Microsoft is taking the step in the favor of users.
