While many people believe that buying a new cell phone is a lot like buying a new car, I have found that there are many similarities between an iPhone case and a battery case. Both devices are designed to protect your device and extend its life when needed. The key difference between the two is that a battery case is usually thinner and has more to do with looks than longevity. I like both types of cases but I prefer the protection of a battery case for my iPhone devices over the added style of a new phone.
Smart Battery Case
As with any battery case, the Smart Battery Case provides you much more life from your iPhones than a replacement battery would. Each of these cases is going to give you as much as fifty percent more battery life from your iPhones. For me, that meant an extra full day on the iPhone 11 Pro Max and about the same on the iPhone 7 Plus. If you need that kind of battery life, these cases are what you are looking for.
A third difference between the two is that they fit differently. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 11 pro battery cases comfortably fit in the case and the iPhone 7 Plus fit inside the iPhone 11 Pro charging phone case. This means that you can take either one on and enjoy a fully charged phone. In addition, each case provides a snug fit so that no liquid is able to leak out onto the screen. Again, this is something you can’t find on a replacement battery.
A final difference is that you can’t use the iPhone 7 or iPhone 11 pro battery case with a traditional wireless charging pad. Rather, you must use one of those new cases designed specifically for wireless charging. The one I have is made by Cases FX, which is one of the hottest companies on the market. It comes in a number of cool colors including neon colors, so it’s easy to match it to your iPhone. However, it also provides a sleek design that allows you to place your phone down flat, unlike the case that Apple provides with the pad.
This is the last major difference between these two models. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 11 pro, and all of Apple’s other smartphones have touch screens. These devices must be held in a downward position with the home button on the left side. To press the home button, you must lean your arm against the back of the phone. This is just not convenient.
Instead, these cases provide a rigid case that wraps around your device, from the home button down to the base. You can slide the phone in and out without a problem. This results in less stress on the arm, which should result in longer battery life. All in all, the differences between the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 11 pro are minor.
