Installation of any split air conditioner is a bit complicated and in order to get best performance, it is necessary that it must be installed in correct manner.
If the split AC is not installed in proper manner, then you may not get optimum cooling in the room. Also, it can give rise to a number of maintenance related issues frequently.
Therefore, if you have purchased a spit air conditioner then during the air conditioning installation, you must ensure the following.
1. Check the strength of wall where the AC will be hold
The spilt air conditioner will be fixed on the wall and when it runs, it produces a lot of vibration too. Therefore, it is important that the wall where the split air conditioner will be fixed must be strong enough.
In case, the wall happens to be weak then it is neither safe for the air conditioner as well as for the wall.
2. Ensure proper spacing between AC unit and the wall
When you are going to fix the split air conditioner on the wall then it is important that that there must be a little gap between the wall and the air conditioner. The minimum distance required between the wall and the air conditioner must be 15 cm.
This will provide little breathing space to the air conditioner.
3. Maintain appropriate installation height above the ground
Make sure that the air conditioner will be installed at appropriate height above the ground so that cold air that it will throw will come below and replace the hot air.
Therefore, maintain at least 7 to 8 feet height of the air conditioner from the ground to provide sufficient cool air in the room.
4. Maintain a correct amount of tilt angle of your indoor unit
When you are going to fix the aluminium bracket on wall then you must make sure that your bracket must be given a slight angular tilt, so that your indoor unit of your split air conditioner will be fitted at slight angle.
This may enable you to get unrestricted flow of all the condensed water which will come out from the drain pipe.
5. Correct the location of your outdoor unit
In order to get proper cooling, it is essential that indoor and also outdoor units of your split AC should be located so that it is away from direct sunlight or water.
Also, try to install outdoor unit of your split AC in fully open space to ensure no hindrance to heat that dissipates from the condenser.
6. Right outdoor unit placement
Try to place your outdoor unit at some flat surface otherwise it may create lots of vibration and as a result your copper piping may be broken.
7. Maintain a right distance between indoor and outdoor unit
Also, a certain distance between indoor and outdoor unit is also necessary so that you can get right amount of cooling that is necessary for the room.
You can offer maximum distance between your indoor and outdoor unit of about 15 meters maximum.
