Just follow the given steps and make your hands and feet feel happier:-
Start by removing any nail paint you have previously applied. Use a mild remover, and do not over rub the nails. A hard rub could dry your nails out, especially the area around the cuticles, losing the skin that holds the nails in place.
The next step is giving your nails a nice shape. Use nail clippers and nail filers to give them the shape you want. Avoid using too coarse or made of metal; be gentle to your nails. Hard filers can fray them and make to susceptible to chipping.
Soak your feet in luke warm salt water to make your toenails softer to trim. This removes the dry dead cells and also helps in making the nails more brittle. Soak them for 8-10 minutes at least.
Next, once your toenails are soft, immerse trim them a bit. It’s always advisable to them in a straight line. Be careful not to go too deep that will lead to ingrown nails.
Moisturize your nails and the cuticles that surround it. You can use any general moisturizers. If your nails are too dry, mix the moisturizer with some oil and massage it well both around the cuticles and the surface of the nails
This is followed by another cleaning session. Wipe your nails off all moisturizer and oil, using a blob of cotton with some remover. Don’t go to close to the cuticles, but ensure the nails aren’t moisturized as this will make application of nail paint difficult.
Now apply several coats of your favorite nail paint. Before applying dark colors, use paint a transparent layer, this saves your nails from soaking the dark colors. Also to keep the color in fact for longer, apply a top coat of transparent nail paint once again. This will seal he color for longer.
Allow the nail paint to dry for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Even when the nail paints mention quick drying, don’t be fooled. To prevent chipping, dry them for long
Once the nail paint is totally dry, once again massage your nails with moisturizer and oil. This will keep the cuticles nourished for longer.
Be regular with nail paint touch ups and keep giving yourself a manicure & pedicure as often as once in every two weeks.
